Low Sizergh Barn, Sizergh, near Kendal
7 April – 17 May 2017
A new solo exhibition from Marjorie Park.
A true Cumbrian, Marjorie is aware of the shape, colour, smell and taste of the environment in which she lives. The need to portray this landscape, often transformed by an array of intangible elements – the wind, the rain, the sounds and the solitude – is apparent in the spontaneous and expressive way in which she works.
Marjorie’s work is visceral, but also thoughtful, reflecting her experience of the ancient, spiritual and enduring landscape near her home. Working in the elements, capturing the energy of the seasons, she works mainly in mixed media.
The tea room at Low Sizergh Barn is open each day, 9.00 – 5.00.
