Spring Exhibition

We’ll be at Staveley Roundhouse from Friday 27 – Mon 30 May for you to enjoy our Spring Exhibition – an open exhibition of 2D and 3D work from our members (and you can stock up on greetings cards too).

“These Spring Bouquets paintings are part of a series recording the ever changing sweep of colour in my garden throughout the year'” said Geraldine Walkington. “A mix of watercolour, ink and silk dyes create both a subtle and vibrant explosion of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils.”

Vicky Yates works from her studio in Cumbria hand building contemporary ceramic animal sculptures from stoneware clay. These are all one-off pieces capturing the essence, character and movement of the subject. Her inspiration comes from wildlife encounters both in Cumbria and whilst working in Africa.

“My most recent etchings are part of a collaborative project to create a requiem for the damaged and threatened woodlands I see all around me,” said Caroline Stow. “I am moved by both their beauty and fragility and these first images are wreaths of Sticky Weed – or Sticky Willie as it is known locally.”

Exhibiting artists include: Eileen Anderson, Sally Bamber, Jacqui Bassett, Averyl Bradbrook, Alan Calvert, Sharon Cash, Martin Connolly, Julie Connolly, Joyce Eldred, Robert Finch, Ray Green, Heather Hanna, Seamus Hanna, Sam Harrison, Ciara Heaton, Judith Horsley, Helen Alice Johnson, Cally Lawson, Kath Lockhart, Delcia McNeil, Anne MacKinnon, Marjorie Park, Fiona Reeves, Christine Rooney, Sue Rowland, Roger Salmon, Dave Sharps, Elizabeth Shorrock, Gilli Slater, Val Stangoe, Caroline Stow, Mary Taylor, Elizabeth Tracey, Cherrie Trelogan, Geraldine Walkington, Frances Winder, Maddy Wright and Vicky Yates.
