D C stained glass studio, 11 Allhallo6ws Lane, Kendal, LA9 4JH
Debbie recently relocated her well established stained glass business to her new workshop premises at ‘dc stained glass studio’, 11 Allhallows Lane, Kendal. There you will find her, happily at work behind her bench, crafting new commissions, draughting new designs. Building birds on sculpted wood. Painting plumage on fine silhouettes. Cutting glass, forming lead and bending wire.
Debbie is most well known for her work that captures birds. Her sculptures show movement, life and character using paint, glass, wood, wire and lead. Her panels and windows are of contempory design and are built using traditional techniques and materials. The challenge of the design and the skills involved in the build are what particularly fire Debbie’s creativity and productivity at the start of this new venture.
Previous projects and commissions can be found on her blog, debbiesshed.com. Debbie’s Shed has been her trading identity for the past ten years and more from her previous home studio, based in Silverdale on the edge of Morecambe Bay.
She is open most days, 9am till 4:30pm except for Thursdays and Sundays. But open at most other times by appointment. Just drop her a message to be sure that you catch her in.
