In 2014 I received a distinction from Kendal College after completing a foundation degree in fine art. I also won the ‘Green Door Mentoring Award’. I also use art in group therapy at ‘In the Moment’ which helps people with dementia on a Friday afternoon and became an official volunteer for the ‘Lakes Art Trust’ who fund the sessions. I also help at the charity Space2Create who aim to help people suffering with mood difficulties caused by mental or physical health problems and believe in wellbeing through creative activity in the local community.

I feel I am an inventive artist and I like using many different techniques and am always learning. My art gives the freedom to express myself. I like to experiment and come up with something different and original. Art is ever evolving and I find it challenging and rewarding. I have recently become the ‘Artist in Residence’ at Mealbank with RagTagArts. I look forward to working there and have my own studio to be creative in.
