I took up painting in my late 40s partly in response to a bet from an artist friend, Louise Diggle, and partly as a coping strategy to having succumbed to ME/CFS. Over the years it has become an increasingly important part of my life.

As a blue badge tourist guide with a life long passion for hiking I am frequently in awesome, inspiring landscapes from which I derive no end of inspiration. I suppose that oil and pastel are my main mediums but I love experimenting and mixing it up.
