Jo is an established glass maker who has worked with glass for over 30 years. She creates bespoke architectural glass and interior accessories, mainly to commission. Her projects can often be ambitious in scale and include chandeliers, windows, doors, splash backs, awards and wall panels for private and commercial clients.

Her work focuses on her engagement with the Cumbrian landscape, permanent geological formations above and under the ground as well as temporary shifts in the landscape caused by seasons, tides and weather.

She uses a variety of kiln formed glass techniques to achieve this work. Many of these pieces can spend many days in the kiln due to their irregular thickness and textures created in the glass.

Jo set up her first studio in Kendal in 2000 having worked for a number of years in Leeds, Italy and London. Since 2014 she has been located at The Factory, in Kendal, where she works alongside other creative businesses.

The studio is open by appointment and there is a gallery area with work for sale.
