Living in Aysgarth, Wensleydale, Julie is fascinated by the effects of light through the trees and reflecting off water, diffused light through leaves, and the reflection of light onto branches overhanging the river.

Using Oil painting, acrylic painting and printmaking, Julie records memories of what has been seen, felt, and experienced, using emotional colour that responds to the feelings and sensations of being immersed in this spectacular landscape.
