My paintings depict the emotional connection I have to the mountain and beach scenery of the UK. I spend my time mainly between the Lake District and North Wales in awe of the beauty I see around me. I have gathered a rich source of visual memories and personal connections that I am able to use when recreating the places I have nostalgia for.

As I work, I am guided by my intuition and the resulting contemporary paintings sit somewhere between realism and imaginative interpretation. I use colour, pattern and texture in my paintings to record moments that will live on in my heart for life, and for which there are no words.

I exhibit and sell my paintings in Scotland, Wales and England, and have been selected by the Lake Artists Society for the Youdell’s painting prize.
