Our annual art auction took place on Wednesday 28 March with money raised from the evening donated to Kendal-based charity, Space2Create.  Green Door’s Steering Group recently presented a cheque for £750 to Mat Butler from Space2Create.

“This is a big boost for a small charity like S2C,” said Mat.  “The money will go directly towards supporting vulnerable adults in the local community struggling with mental or physical illness, isolation or any circumstance effecting their self confidence or esteem.”

We’d like to thank everyone involved in the event – the artists who generously donated work and the guests who joined us on the night and bid for the art works.

Space2Create need volunteers to continue their work.  If you’re interested in volunteering you can meet them and find out more at the South Lakeland Volunteering Fair at Kendal Town Hall on Wednesday 6 June from 12 noon to 1.30 pm.
